Message from Deputy Commissioner

On behalf of the District Administration, we extend our sincere greetings and congratulations to you in Kushtia district, the cradle of the great liberation war, the cultural capital and the pastoral land of world-poet Rabindranath Tagore, Baul Samrat Fakir Lalan Sai, immortal novelist Mir Mosharraf Hossain, Justice Radhabinod Pal and the pioneer of journalism Kangal Harinath.


Bangladesh today indomitable in enthusiasm and the marvel of the world in its development and prosperity because of competent leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. When it comes to accomplishing the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), Bangladesh has reached a whole new level. In continuation of this, Bangladesh is fully prepared to become a dignified, responsible and developed country in the world by graduating from Least Developed Country (LDC) by 2026 and by implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by 2030. The Vision-2041 has been developed with a focus on establishment of a hunger and poverty free, developed and smart Bangladesh by the year 2041 while Vision-2100 (Delta Plan) focuses on non-discriminatory economic growth, the environment sector, water resources, land, agriculture, public health and food security issues.


All the development programs of the state are implemented and coordinated through the field administration. The District Administration, which serves as the focal point for the execution and coordination of all the executive operations of the government at the district level, is a key administrative entity of the field administration. The District Administration plays a crucial role in upholding and achieving the ambitions of the masses. It is responsible for carrying out important public works such as revenue administration and management, district magistracy and executive magistracy, public order and public safety, law and order, jails, firearms control, treasury and stamps, local government, education, public examinations, health services, national and local elections, disaster management and land acquisition etc.


Due to the current government's innovative role, the majority of services have been delivered to the general public's doorsteps using digital media. The general public will be informed through this web portal about the District Administration's activities in addition to all the district's information, the online application process for various services, receiving e-services, the district's tourist attractions, historical sites and figures, and other institutions. In addition to receiving the desired services, people can submit any complaints and suggestions by collecting the telephone numbers and email addresses of all the District Administration's officials and employees from this website which will be beneficial in improving the District Administration's quality of services. This website gateway contains the hotline numbers for an array of government services that are available. In addition, information is published on the website spontaneously in order to carry out the Right to Information Act 2009. Annual Performance Agreement, National Integrity Strategy, Grievance Redress System and Citizen’s Charter are published on web portal of the District Administration, through which general public will be benefited. It is my hope that this web portal will significantly contribute to the protection of people's right to information and to the facilitation of more affordable and easier access to services.


Our fundamental responsibility is to properly carry out the government's policies in light of the rules and regulations. As a part of declaration by the Honorable Prime Minister to build Smart Bangladesh by 2041, we are bringing together brave freedom fighters, political figures, civil society, related public and private departments/organizations/institutions, socio-cultural organizations of Kushtia district in building Smart Kushtia. We are committed to play a meaningful role in health infrastructure, overall law and order etc. The District Administration, Kushtia expects everyone's cooperation in this sincere effort.
